It is possible to fasten drywall to the wall in three ways: frameless, frame and rack-frame. Each of them is noticeably different from the other, therefore it deserves a detailed story that you will find in this article.

So, let’s start with the simplest way – installation with glue. There are several options for gluing GKL to the wall, the choice of one of which the masters make based on the condition of the walls. The first method is used when the surface is even, without obvious flaws and any changes. In this case, the glue is applied along the perimeter of the sheet and along several horizontal lines, and then leveled with a gear spatula. After that, drywall is tightly pressed against the wall and tapped with a rubber hammer.
If the irregularities of the walls are more than two centimeters, then a slightly different way is used. At first, stripes of ten cm are cut from drywall and fix them on glue, which will serve as beacons. They are set at one level with a plumb line. The distance between the stripes (from the outer edge of one to the outer edge of the other) should be equal to the width of the drywall sheet. When the glue dries, GKL or GKLV is attached to the wall, applying the adhesive composition to each of the installed beacons.
If the curvature of the walls is more than five centimeters, then squares of 10×10 cm are cut from drywall and attach to the surface in a checkerboard pattern, also exposed at the same level. Sheets are attached to the wall after the glue dries. The adhesive is also applied to each of the beacons.
When fixing drywall, you need to make some gaps: between the floor and sheets they should be about ten, between the ceiling and the sheets – about five and directly between the sheets – seven millimeters. The seams are put down, and the gaps are gap and GKL are closed with baseboard.

If the walls are characterized by strong curvature, it is required to lay the wiring behind the plasterboard structure or the task is to insulate the room, then the frame method is used. Before starting the installation of the “skeleton”, they make all the necessary measurements and mark the places of fastening of the guides and suspensions. Then the profiles with a cross section of 27×28 mm are attached to the ceiling, after which “response” on the floor is made, adjusting their position relative to the upper with the suspension.
Further, on the walls in places of future fastening of the racks (they use 60×27 mm profiles for them) with a step of 60 cm, suspensions are screwed. The distance between the profiles should also be 60 cm. Когда подвесы закреплены, в них устанавливают стойки и крепят между собой саморезами. When the installation of profiles is over, a heater can be laid between them. Typically, for this, stone wool slabs are used – their width is also 60 cm, which corresponds to the distance between the racks. After all the preparatory work is completed, you can proceed to the installation of drywall itself, which is fixed with self -tapping screws to the profile.
In those cases when a large load is planned for the future design, the masters recommend making horizontal jumpers between the racks. To do this, the segments of the desired length are cut from the same profile of 60×27 mm and fixed to the horizontal guide using a single -level connector – “crab”.
If you plan to create any complex structure from GKL sheets, then you will need a layout of drywall to the wall – it can be done independently or spied on the Internet. However, such a scheme is also useful to a novice master – it will help to make a correct and reliable frame.
Drywall – methods of attachment to the rack frame
Today, a frame of wooden rails when installing drywall is made very rarely. This is explained by the impracticality of the tree, which is deformed during changes in temperature and humidity, which in turn also causes deformation of drywall. As a result, cracks will appear on the seams, which is very noticeable if the plasterboard walls were painted. If wallpapers with sufficient thickness were glued to drywall, cracks will be hidden under them.
There is still an opinion that the “skeleton” from the rails is more stringent and reliable than from metal profiles. However, this is not at all like that, since the metal structure withstands a load of up to 150 kg per square meter, while the plastered section of the drywall weighs the same area twenty -five kilograms.
For installation of the river frame, bars with a cross section of 40×15 or 40×20 mm are used, pre -treated with an antiseptic, which should also be covered with walls. In order for all wooden racks to be fixed at the same height, plywood gaskets are used. The correct installation of rails is also verified using a level or plumb. Fixed plasterboard sheets to such a frame with the help of self -tapping screws.
Drywall is attached to the frame of wooden bars on a wood with large thread, while in the case of a metal frame, metal screws with fine threads are used.
