Spend time and relax with joy for the body and soul allows the sauna. Having your own sauna, you can steam at any time at your pleasure without restrictions. This is why many have a desire to build a sauna, for example, on their site near a country house. Of course, you can order a sauna to professional builders, but you can save and create it on your own.
Preliminary calculations
The first thing we determine is with is the area of construction. How many people the sauna will be calculated, the calculation of sizes and materials for the design depends on this. At the same time, so that the sauna is easily heated and holds heat, it will be necessary to make it not too spacious. For example, for three people there will be enough flooring 2*1 m, height from floor to ceiling 2 m. It is necessary to provide ventilation – in the sauna two outlets are made, above and below. Material for walls is, of course, a tree, due to its high heat -intensive and environmentally friendly properties. It will also be necessary to choose the type of heat source.
The choice of heater
Heaters can be wood, gas, electrical. All these heaters act on one principle – heat the air in the bath using steam. The infrared heater is completely different in the way of creating heat. It warms the human body with waves without heating the air itself. Therefore, infrared saunas are as popular as the most effective. Electric heaters are also in demand as the safest. Wood stoves are interesting – for lovers of living fire and smoke.
An important point for creating a sauna is the choice of stones. They should serve for a long time and have a high ability to maintain and secrete heat. Stones can be purchased ready -made or find yourself. They will need a lot. For example, when arranging a wood stove, stones will need up to 7 kg for each cubic meter of the sauna. The stones should not be smooth to better radiate heat. Checking the readiness of the stones is carried out in the following way: the stones are heated to the temperature of the sauna and lowered into cold water. If they have not cracked, then they can be used.
Building a building
The foundation for the sauna can be strip or columnar. The strip base casts into a trench on a sand pillow, should be 20-30cm. Pillars of stone or bricks are installed for the column foundation, in section they are a square with a side of 25cm. Between the pillars, a brick wall is built with a thickness of 12cm. Then the entire foundation is leveled with concrete solution and covered with roofing material in two layers.
The construction of the sauna itself can be carried out using a finished modular design – it is enough to purchase one from the manufacturer and install the panels on your site. In this case, the construction does not require a frame. Installation is carried out as soon as possible with minimal delivery and loading costs. No special complex tools are required. Independently or better with the help of an electrical specialist, you have to make only installation of electrical wiring and heater.
You can also build a sauna without ready -made modules. Then you will need to stock up on materials such as the beam and a board of pine or larch. You can build a standard type – sauna plus locker room. A quarry bar with a side of 8-12cm is used to create a frame.
Interior decoration
From the inside the walls are finished with a dry board (birch, aspen or linden) with a vertical location of a quarter or in a groove. Waterproofing is mandatory in the room, if desired, insulation to reduce heat transfer. For these purposes, a film or foil for isolation is laid under the internal skin. Part of the film is started under the ceiling to isolate the location of the walls and ceiling. The ceiling is sewn up with a 20-30mm board, also with isolation. Mineral wool or fiberglass is used for insulation.
External structure of the structure
Outside, after installing thermal insulation, the frame is sheathed with a board of 50*80*120 mm in size, with a horizontal location, a quarter or overlap to protect against decay. Under the casing, you can lay a layer of wind protection made of dense cardboard or plywood.
The corners of the building are also closed with the board, the platbands are attached to the windows and doors. Brusy walls are erected from a bar, then all the grooves are clogged with bags. You can go on the outside by lining along the slats nailed to the wall. The outer surface of the finished walls of the sauna is covered with olifa. The roof is made of sheet steel or roofing material.
Final work
The door is hung in the room, the window is installed. The doors are thoroughly adjusted so that there are no gaps. The pens on them should be made of wood so as not to burn their hands. The door in the sauna itself can be with a small glass window and should open out. The window in the room of the locker room should be able to open for ventilation. It can be small, for example, 500*500, with double glazing and seals.
The floor can be wooden or concrete (then tiles, wooden flooring or mats still fit). You can make “warm floors” heated with a special device. If such complex work is required for the manufacture of the floor, then they are carried out even at the initial stages of construction, until the creation of wood structures.
On the wall, the board can be unprocessed, while the boards are thoroughly chopped, sharp corners are rounded. You can also use a rail for shops. The lower shops can be performed separately by standing structures so that they can be put forward if necessary. Two or more lamps are attached to the walls for additional lighting, as well as the thermometer and hours.
Before starting operation, it is necessary to warm the sauna for several days, gradually increasing the temperature. Also periodically pouring water on the stones. After the sauna is warmed up to the maximum temperature, it can be used.
